Way back in October of 2008, The Man and I went on a local garden tour. Thought I would share two of my favorite things.
I just think these freshly laid eggs are beautiful. The depth of organic colors in the egg shells just made me stand there and stare at them for quite a while. One of the things that The Man and I have been toying with is getting a few hens for eggs. We'd have to build a very safe coop and I've already told him the hens could only be for eggs.
This also really spoke to me.
A garden tour sounds like fun!

With the chickens there will be eating of other greens in your yard if you don't have them confined to a specific area (having been raised on a ranch, I speak with great experience). However, even given that, fresh eggs are the b.e.s.t.
Looks like you are on the mend ankle/leg wise. What have you learned from this experience? Hum?

I'd love to have some chickens, but I don't think we can where I am. Plus the dogs would chase them, I think.
