The Man and I were a bit out of the loop. I'd come home Friday with the raging head cold that has been going around here for over a month. That'll teach me to get all cocky about not getting it after 6 co-workers and The Man all bit the dust with it. He and the blasted head cold was why I was on a cooking soup binge last weekend.
So anyhow The Man was off getting me cold med's and soup making stuff when he attempted to turn into the huge parking lot at our local indoor Farmer's Market. It was so packed in there that they had a guard blocking the enterance and waving people away. There were no parking spaces. Let me tell you this isnt a little Farmer's Market by any means. So The Man headed to Krogers and found check out lines with people lined up all the way to the back of the store. He stopped someone to ask if there was some national emergency going on. Nope, just predictions of snow coming to Altanta.
If we do get what they are saying and mind you I only have a vague knowledge of what they are saying I am going to be so impressed with my snow mojo! The news crews around here act like it is Armagedden when we have snow flurries without even sticking.
Excuse me while I go blow my nose.
P.S. in case you thought I was kidding about the Armagedden part they have already started closing schools and business. It's only Saturday night.
That sounds so surreal -- did he ever get to actually shop anywhere?

He decided to tough it out at Krogers since all the stores were going to be like that. Local news was showing a grocery store about half out of all of their milk before lunchtime yesterday. Atlantans get crazy when there is talk of snow.

Seriously? I noticed we were not in that loop... I didn't see the weather today and am now wondering if you got any! BTW I got my copy of Dorie Greenspan's cookbook (bought with Christmas money) on Friday!!! I can't wait to cook from it!
