We have a fantastic farmer's market here that is like no other in the country. Huge place (think double the largest grocery store you've been in) with gobs of fruit, vegetables, wines, cereals, grains, herbs, seafood, coffee, bakery items, cheeses, diary, organic meats, etc. Trust me if you want it odds are it is there. They also stock for a diversity of ethnic cultures so it has been fun trying new fruits and vegetables. One time I picked a Dragon fruit to try just because it was so beautiful to look at. I cracked up when the cashier asked me if it was good. Had to be honest with her.
One recent trip I decided to try a different type of eggplant basically because it was pretty. Can you see a theme with this?
The lighting wasn't so good in the kitchen so I headed out to the driveway. The photo shoot of the eggplant caught Annie's eye.
She decided a closer inspection was needed.
a very through inspection from the sniffer.
The eggplant must have pass muster.
Yep, that is her biting into the eggplant to drag it off to the yard. Do you know how hard it is to yell "stop!" when you are in the middle of busting out laughing? Oh, the Dragon Fruit is very yummy. Sorta like a sweet Kiwi and you eat the tiny black seeds.
